I'm getting real tired of this thin-skinned, self-serving, no-evidence-having excuse of a human.

I finally got around to watching K-Pop Demon Hunters, and I kinda liked it! On Twitter years ago I admitted to wanting a Dazzler movie directed by the Wachowskis, but I think I might not need that anymore, because this is pretty much it.

(I would've done Dazzler as a sung-through, but close enough)
Just reading about Dumb Old Trump's vow to "protect prayer in schools." Same old "sell something you already own" tactic.

Here's the thing: students have ALWAYS had the right to pray in public schools. No gov't employee may lead a prayer, but the students can pray all they want.
The weather here in New York was really nice this morning.

Everyone should be able to say that about their home more frequently.
Titanic Scion demo on PC is a great help. I'm still in the exosuit parts though, haven't gotten into any giant mechs.
Me after working AnimeNYC: "Damn, how do people keep attending so many cons? This is a lot of work!"

Also me after working AnimeNYC: "Hey, SPX is coming up!"
For everyone who came to see the B-Team at tonight's @denpabooks.bsky.social panel at #AnimeNYC 2025: thank you very, very much for your love of both Kuma and Denpa. We're grateful for the unbridled enthusiasm and look forward to releasing many more exciting/thrilling/moving/titillating books soon!

Exciting news that Kengo Hanazawa, mangaka of Under Ninja, will be making appearances at AnimeNYC this year... that's in ten days!

Under Ninja is published in English by @denpabooks.bsky.social. The series spawned an anime in 2023 and a live-action film in 2025.

I found out about the super-local Geek Out At Staten Island con just yesterday; very pleased to have gone today!

They were blaring anime opening themes over the PA, and "Answer" (March Comes In Like a Lion) happened to come on as I was getting my wristband. IT'S A SIGN

I got my copy of Scholastic's print version of Mecha-Ude! I did the logo for the original web adaptation by @azuki.co, which was unused by Scholastic, but mm-mm, their hardcover's got all the print effects: matte base, spot gloss, gradient foil... and a full-color interior!
I'm watching a video tutorial on how to restore an *ahem* older, disused bicycle. The host is gushing over his own marvelous machine.

Host: Gosh, look at these! Don't you just love these vintage cantilever brakes? Wonderful!

Me: What's he mean by "vintage"? MY bike has cantilever-- oh no...
Saw Superman. Liked Superman. That is all.
Great article! As a manga production artist, I sometimes set up libraries for reoccurring logos and visuals.

Sometimes it clues me in to minor worldbuilding details: in one series, a character's delivery van changes model trims, because just like IRL, he doesn't drive the exact same van every day.

Today, on Juneteenth, we honor the strength and resilience of Black Americans and renew our commitment to Freedom without Favor and Equality without Exception—for everyone.
Mitsuru Adachi's work "Short Game" (a baseball anthology) was nominated for "Best New Edition of Classic Manga" at the 2025 American Manga Awards!

It was a great privilege being the letterer/retoucher/designer on that one.
Congrats to DENPA artists Moto Hagio and Mitsuru Adachi on their AMA nominations! It was an honor to be able to work on these books and we hope these nods will inspire more people to try titles like theirs in the future.
