One of the (several) problems with the demand that bystanders and targeted people be immediately compliant with ICE agents is that fleeing ICE is incredibly rational. They’re violent, piggish thugs who disappear some people into horrendous gulags and shoot others in the face.

All I ask is that I be allowed to hate these people as much as they hate me.
it's sort of funny that white is now an epithet on the right if paired with woman and liberal

a thing i sincerely think is underdiscussed is how this is a rolling roadshow that only happens in a couple cities at a time. they don't have the guys to be a nationwide regime militia. i don't know if they think doing it so aggressively will scare ppl into complying in advance or what
this is one of the more psychotic things about this shit. yes they are absolutely terrorizing people and communities. yes they are motivated by racism and xenophobia. no, they are not actually deporting that many people relative to baseline.
One thing seeing them made clear: among other things, this is a TERRIBLE way to conduct deportations. If they weren’t rolling in like paramilitaries, two guys with badges could probably deport more people in an hour than this military convoy of 20 men could in a day

just had my first major real-life encounter with an ICE convoy and the sheer creepiness of a bunch of men in masks rolling through your community hard to convey in texts. they have half the city on their tail at all times at least

You’ve got to be careful with claims like this. The UK’s DJ rate has exceeded 60% of the population at times, so it’s fairly likely that DJs will be prominent among *any* group. Same probably true for France and novelists.

Ex-Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura: “We’re a 3rd world country now. I know. I’ve been to ‘em. I spent 17 months in SE Asia while the draft dodger was playing golf… that’s what happens in a dictatorship. In comes the military. That’s what’s happening here.” 🇺🇸

remember when trump got elected the first time and one of the first things he did was call the president of taiwan and it briefly was a little controversy, lol
Trump on Taiwan. If any other president of any party had said this, congressional Republicans would be flipping out.

I thought this was about famous Mary Worth character Wilbur Weston for a second @wilburwurthless.bsky.social @jfruh.bsky.social
The 7-year “Weston Whopper” saga grinds on.

A Superior Court judge has rejected the Weston ZBA’s appeal, upholding the State’s Housing Appeal Committee’s approval of a 180-unit Chapter 40B project on 10 acres. This was originally filed in 2019 with 275-units.

Kristi Noem, herself, supplied the method used to ID the agent. She said he "been dragged by a vehicle” in an earlier incident.

@startribune.com reporters, who know their way around court records, quickly unearthed his name and confirmed his identity.
The agent, Jonathan Ross, was dragged by a vehicle and injured during a June operation in the Twin Cities, court records show.

I'm pretty sure the guy Gearhead Gertie is talking to on the phone is supposed to be NASCAR Commissioner Steve Phelps, who yesterday resigned in disgrace in the aftermath of the lawsuit settlement. Probably because he forgot to negotiate for Gertie's free tickets
