Sorry to correct you. The “rules based international order” has not had the “final nail” driven into its coffin. It applies to China especially in regard to Taiwan and navigation in the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea and rightly so, we don’t want the newest world power doing what world powers do.
i can't help but think that october 7 and the response thereto really put the final nail in the "rules based international order" - by totally capitulating to the express and overt idea that "international law is fake," western states let the fig leaf fall and in so doing left themselves exposed

Just saying…it can be argued China has more right to Taiwan than America does to Venezuela, Greenland or the Gaza Riviera. But enacting the former is against the world wide rule of law but the latter are all OK by Trump.

Europe contracted out their national security and military capability to America, Australia has done the same. As a result Americas military machine is far bigger than it needs to be for the security of America and Europe and Australia’s is too small. We created the monster by being cheap and lazy.
