Satirist, Ironical, Cynical, Opinionated, Finely Tuned Bollocks Detector, Bull Shit Allergic, Blue Sky is mostly for entertainment. Atheist.
A friend of mine’s funeral service was held yesterday at Old St Paul’s in Wellington NZ. The priest used this phrase before praying which as an atheist struck me as perfect tolerance and inclusion. He said before beginning each prayer…

“I will now pray, please pray with me if that is your way”

Susssan Ley “defending her leadership”. What a waste of time and another example of her poor judgement. Has she learned nothing from her support of Netanyahu as he commits genocide in Gaza? Susssan should wait a couple of weeks and she’ll have nothing to defend.

Who is going to stop Trump? And do Americans want JD Vance as President? Be very careful what you wish for.
It seems like hardly anyone thinks Trump is going to survive the rest of his term

In breaking news Minister for Indigenous Australians Senator Malarndirri McCarthy is recruiting Rabbis to move to the outback to convert First Nations people in remote communities to Judaism.

She says this is a pragmatic initiative to finally give The Voice (unopposed) to Indigenous people.

Remember who is the head (Sec’ Gen’) of the OECD…Matthias Cormann, the cigar smoking fat cat Morrison flew all over the world during Covid on a private jet at our cost promoting himself into the job. Not surprising an ex Liberal Finance Minister would have those ideas for a Labor government.
Yes, THIS is what the OECD has asked Australia to do:

"Global economic body the OECD has called on Australia to rein in the NDIS and make changes to property taxes to help fix the budget and boost productivity."

Not tax the rich...

We should also take a little time to mourn the passing of more of our right to free speech.
On this national day of mourning, we take time to remember the 15 lives taken so tragically on December 14.

The Jewish community is asking us all to perform a Mitzvah for Bondi - an act of kindness, to create a wave of goodwill.

The Coalition’s latest internal crisis is making news. Only the media and politicians think this is a worthy story.

Meanwhile, Australians go about their lives, their challenges, their responsibilities, their health issues, their housing rent and mortgages. While the LNP focus on themselves.

Sorry to correct you. The “rules based international order” has not had the “final nail” driven into its coffin. It applies to China especially in regard to Taiwan and navigation in the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea and rightly so, we don’t want the newest world power doing what world powers do.
i can't help but think that october 7 and the response thereto really put the final nail in the "rules based international order" - by totally capitulating to the express and overt idea that "international law is fake," western states let the fig leaf fall and in so doing left themselves exposed

Australia would be well advised to hitch its wagon to Asia including China that is going up the hill toward the stars rather than America, the UK and the old world which is going down the hill and into the abyss.

Australia’s dedicated military representative to NATO, Air Vice-Marshal Dianne Turton is asked if Australia’s position is being heard by NATO. She affirms it is, adding Aust’ is recognised as “punching above its weight” (an expression I loath). Eventually your weight counts and you run out of punch.

@latingle.bsky.social an expert in the art of non verbal communication on ABC saying we are wondering what is in Trump’s mind regarding Greenland. Her facial expressions indicated to me she believes “not much”. 🤣🤣🤣
January 21, 2026 at 2:29 AM
Just saying…it can be argued China has more right to Taiwan than America does to Venezuela, Greenland or the Gaza Riviera. But enacting the former is against the world wide rule of law but the latter are all OK by Trump.

Albo wakes this morning with his pen still warm in his hand from ticking yet another box. His oil can empty from oiling a squeaky wheel. His legacy will be lines of little boxes with ticks in them. Great on paper but achieving fuck all for the vast majority of the community. Oh and an oil slick.

Europe contracted out their national security and military capability to America, Australia has done the same. As a result Americas military machine is far bigger than it needs to be for the security of America and Europe and Australia’s is too small. We created the monster by being cheap and lazy.
January 20, 2026 at 7:13 PM
Albo does a deal with Ley on hate speech and a deal with Waters over gun laws and a deal with Trump over sovereignty. Albo the sellout.

Did Nostradamus predict that 2026 would see the 2nd civil war in the USA not between States but between the Federal Government and the States, and America picking World War 3 not with China or Russia but with Europe?

The SMH reported that Richard Marles welcomes Trump’s invitation to Australia join the “Gaza Board of Peace”. Does Marles welcome Russia’s invitation too?

What can you say about a State Premier that IMO misleads his constituents by saying things in public about the Dr Abdel Fattah debacle that are not consistent with the strong words and tone of letter he wrote to the Adelaide Writers Festival Board now released. He should go. Source The Post.

Josh Burns says the Bondi Massacre has shaken the Jewish community’s sense of belonging in Australia. A bit of context Mr Burns. 2 terrorists with extreme religious beliefs and hate in their hearts and minds did a very bad thing. Your words are another example of exaggeration and eternal victimhood.

Chickens coming home to roost is the realization that The West has relied on America for its weapons production and capability since America helped win WWII. Not only has it made The West reliant on the US industrial war machine but it means US production capacity is huge. We have created a monster.

If owning Greenland is something that would make him feel better, that’s why he drives an Uber for 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. He has no fucking clue about running his own life.
just got out of an uber. the driver was telling me how he has to work 16 hour days, seven days a week, at two different jobs to afford rent. he doesn't have healthcare and he worries about retirement. "i would feel a lot better if we owned greenland," he told me. then he cried.

I don’t know who the “them” is you refer to that Hillary and Kamala told, but Trump told all of the American people what he was going to do and he is doing it. When will Americans accept responsibility that all of you put Trump in the White House TWICE.
Not only did Hillary and Kamala warn them, so did Black Men, Black Women, and Educated White Folks.. the rest of them voted for this shit..

Let me guess, Dutton objects to parts of the report that says he is a soulless moron with no personality making him unelectable.
The release of the Liberal Party's review into its disastrous 2025 election campaign has been delayed because former opposition leader Peter Dutton claims elements of the report are defamatory to him and his staff.

Roger Federer at the AO kick off. The world would be an even more better place with just one more of him.

There Albo goes again looking weak and caving in like a wet cardboard box. He’s s brainless fuckwit to put gun law ownership reform together with hate speech legislation. If he tried some move like that in business he’d be sacked. Like Sesame Street 🎶 one of these things is not like the other.
