It wasn't headline news but it's worth noting A Minecraft Movie drove Minecraft to record monthly active usage and revenue during Q4.

It underlines why game companies are leaping on the transmedia bandwagon. Even if your movie isn't a box office hit (which this was), there is money to be made.
