Already subject to exorbitant visa fees and denied access to public funds, people who are migrants are expected to find an additional £1,035 per year just to access our health service – violating its foundational principle of ‘free for all at the point of use’.

Borders in healthcare are rooted in the border industrial complex – itself rooted in racial capitalism.

Stories foster empathy. They expose injustice. They build solidarity and cultivate resistance. But to ensure they deliver, there is much to consider. That's what this session delved into: how do we avoid reproducing stereotypes about vulnerability?
