Max & Lori @ghoulish.bsky.social have been doing it a while & they remain a model for not giving a fuck who's toes they step on as long as they remain true to their skewed, goopy vision.
They also have a killer brick & mortar in San Antonio:

2 ongoing convos are dovetailing rn:
1. a holiday shopping $ blackout aimed at big business;
2. worry over small presses closing or paring down.

Let's talk direct action: YOU CAN DO BOTH😀

IT'S VITAL TO SUPPORT indie pubs that encourage risk & diversity. Here's a 🧵 of em you can support directly:

Yochai is always going the good work. Creating a sustainable path towards supporting creators is a dream and if anyone can figure it out, its him.
In 2025 I will begin publishing Cairn supplements for third parties, under the moniker Cairn Press.

If you're a writer and want help with editing, layout, or printing I should be able to hook you up with the right people.

My goal is to make more Cairn content and get people paid for their work.

I’m begging novel writers to hire an artist for their covers. At least someone who can do graphic design at a minimum. I see the worst book covers on here everyday and you’re all doing such a disservice to yourself to put in the effort to write a whole book only to turn people away with a bad cover.

This makes me wonder about a ttrpg collection on the internet archive. Each entry is a system and any free adventures that come along with it. A way to archive some of the cool systems that have been made (outside of the different hosting platforms).

If we get 50 shows to coordinate, we can make a collection :)
