even with Yuumi and Soraka who are very sharp and obvious it's clicking for most players that infinite healing and shielding is a win condition you should play towards.

Sona in LoL is such a funny character if you actually understand what she does. She's insanely strong but held back by the fact that players think she's a "Support" as in she's there to help you win, when the reality is that she is often the hyperscaler on her team.

the other thing that stands out to me about the writing in both Hades: it just goes in an out of you with little to no impact. The voice acting is phenomenal but the writers can't make compelling characters within a story if that makes sense. it's all white noise to me.

I'm sad that I feel the exact same way about Hades II that I did about the first one:
- This should not have been a roguelike
- The combat is almost there but not quite. moves don't feel weighty enough, enemy damage is not clearly communicated
- the game is too pretty for it's own good

I am Jewish. Israel is a country where sexual assault and child murder are core tenets of the culture. This country should not exist. They act with such extremity because they know when you tell people what they actually do, it's so bad it registers as unbelievable.

biggest problem over the last few years is I desperately want it to be 2019 again. I want to feel uncomplicated hope and have the shitty non-committal life I did. Even though really for the last 14 years it's felt like the same exact day on repeat but it keeps getting worse.

they need to keep pushing more product, so they have to ratchet the power level. they won't hire more designers and abandon the paper product so the power level can only grow vertically (more power vs different kinds of power)

is really restricted, it feels like you always have either really limited mana or basically limitless mana and nothing in between. There's no granularity to the game, nothing that leaves room for strategic resource management.
