She was an abused rescue pup when I got her, and her name had been Mary. But she cowered when that name was used, so I changed it to something both of us would associate with joy.
I don’t think she remembers her other name, and I’m thankful. 🧡

Most of the cooking’s done, except for a big pot of black beans that’ll simmer on the back of the stove.
Today I work outside getting tables and seating set up, and the ice delivery comes at 2:00. So far, so good. 🤞
