I feel like it's because OOT REALLY bumped the Zelda fandom by a wide margin. Like seriously wide. So unfortunately, you get some of the more overzealous folks who grew up with the game getting SUPER defensive over it.

I guess Homestuck would sorta count. It came out when I was, like, 26. But I only read up to Act 3 and I still have no clue what the big deal is surrounding those damn Troll Kids other than that they have, like, an elaborate cultural system. And something something Vriska.

I mean, I'm grateful a physical edition exist in the first place, but it's kinda sad it's always gonna be secondary to digital. I miss the days when an entire game OST would come in 2-4 CD packs. I would gladly pay the 40-50 bucks for the full set.

lrp: I'm happy SoS OST on CD is finally coming overseas, buuuuut I'm betting dollars to donuts, it's gonna be a repackaging of the JP edition (which also came in 2CDs), which means it's NOT going to have the full soundtrack and as someone who needs The Whole Set, this is gonna bother me heavily.

It's got a surprisingly poignant story. In refusing ANY help or convenience to make his travel easier, Nate ends up repeatedly taking the path of most resistance, and it's as frustrating to watch as I imagine it is to play. Very clever. Kudos.

Try Hollow Knight first. Silksong is a much harder game and it kinda sorta hinges on you being familiar with HK's general difficulty. SS used to be a DLC for HK, so I imagine the bigger difficulty was carried over when they made it into a full game.
