I have met very cool people in that space who have degrees in sports science and/or did a lot of certified training in fitness.

But yeah, there will always be the group of ableist/pro-eugenics gym bros/wellness ladies who have the media literacy of a rock and who spout misinformation everywhere.

Dating as a journalist: went to see a guy who said weird things about how to enhance athletic performance in boxing, fact-checked him and made him realize he was actually wrong.

Then he was like “but everyone told me this at the gym” and I said “well, they are wrong”.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall. I was invited to attend a talk of hers a few years ago. I admire all the work she did for the environment and nature conservation. As the climate crisis worsens, may her legacy live on.

J’ai habité dans le quartier Milton-Parc de 2017 à 2019. Le contraste était flagrant entre l’Université McGill - lieu de privilège qui éduque l’élite du pays - et la communauté inuk en situation d’itinérance à moins de 10 mins de marche de là. #polmtl

Kids are the most oppressed group in society. They exist at every intersection of marginalization but are given very limited political power over policies & decisions that impact their current & future lives.

They have to rely on adults - who often suck - for political power & representation.
