That's the first two re-watched now I'm ready for the third part at Horror on Sea festival in a few days time. I'll be looking out for my 'thank you' credit at the end of the film as I did my little bit to help fund it... 😀

As well as watching horror films I am passionate about supporting independent creatives in the genre. One such person is @mychoeg.bsky.social who has created a whole universe for their films to exist in. Lovely chap as well!

Yoshihiro Nishimura, Naoyuki Tomomatsu
Ending the week with one of the first Japanese splatterpunk films I saw back in the day and still love. Just noticed that it is co-directed by the same director as Osaka Telephone Club (1997) which I watched last week.

An ex drug addict is trained to be the gun woman of the title in this stylized revenge film. The target is super creepy with his penchant for necrophilia. #Asami is wonderful as the assassin...

'Weather Woman Returns'
Doesn't have the hyperactive madcap energy of the first film and to begin with I thought I would be disappointed. It does though have a hypnotic charm which won me over by the end.

'Weather Woman'
Dance numbers, bondage, a fantastical showdown in a forest between two weather women... what more could one ask for? So glad I got to see this!

d. Tak Sakaguchi, Noboru Iguchi, Yoshihiro Nishimura
The three directors worked on a chapter each rather than this being an anthology. Never fails to cheer me up!
I know you will see this anyway @mai8chan.bsky.social but I'll tag you all the same! 🇯🇵 🩸🖤
