Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.

It doesn't have to be this way.

🚨BREAKING NEWS: die-in at AIG

30 insurers have pulled out of EACOP.
AIG are yet to rule this “carbon bomb” out which would unleash 379 million tons of pollution.

Climate breakdown is:
📈tripling the cost of insurance for ordinary people.
🌡️ making areas uninsurable and unlivable.

1. Yesterday, 86 people were arrested in the UK under the Terrorism Act 2000 for holding signs saying "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action."
They are the opposite of terrorists. They were protesting *against* terrorism. 🧵

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

I support Palestine Action.
I hate all forms of violence.
I wish no harm on anyone.
I just want a kinder, fairer, greener world.
Apparently this makes me a terrorist.
But I am the opposite of a terrorist.

We think the climate crisis in terms of extreme weather events & melting glaciers.

What we should be worried about is the collapse of countless microorganisms & insects—the foundation of our very existence.

If they go, there will be no weathering this. And many are already going extinct.

Worse yet, even we aren't seeing the whole picture, let alone communicating it. We think of the climate crisis in terms of extreme weather events & melting glaciers.

What we should be worried about is the collapse of countless species that make up the foundation of our very existence—It has begun.
People still think the alternative to an energy transition is the status quo—continued prosperity.

It's not. The alternative to urgent action is ecological collapse. In our lifetime.

The Climate Crisis is less about weather events & rising oceans than it is about a failing biosphere.
‘Half the tree of life’: ecologists’ horror as nature reserves are emptied of insects
A new point in history has been reached, entomologists say, as climate-led species’ collapse moves up the food chain even in supposedly protected regions free of pesticides

30,000 air pollution deaths a year!

Even if it wasn't destroying our life support system, extending the fossil fuel age kills people and puts unnecessary pressure on the NHS

These decisions kill people
