Citizen, moving along...
I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, but I've seen this movie before, and the plot doesn't work at all. Unlike Nuclear weapons, which are real and have consequences from use, congressional impeachments neither exist nor have consequences. Suspending disbelief isn't going to work anymore.
WATCH-- Former AG Eric Holder says Congress should consider impeachment for the DOJ officials responsible for holding back the Epstein files: “That's a nuclear option that Congress has.”

The Phantom Menace... except here the Emperor is a senile incompetent and is openly acting out the part of the Trade Federation setting up a blockade, and the leader telling the people they're under attack. The point here is that incompetent is an underused word in presidential politics.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

Wow.
Just wow.
Just the most short sighted decision by an American automaker since the last one.

You cannot convince me that is not a Gundam in a silver robe.
NEW: When she worked at NASA’s JPL, Amy Mainzer used to rack up high scores on the 1979 Atari game ASTEROIDS. Very apt, now she’s in charge of a space mission that will save the world from killer asteroids.

Right. AI will cure cancer, and the CDC will deny those cancer treatments need to actually be funded, developed and tested because: something, something, autism, needles, brainworm, smells like burnt toast, America!
Doug Burgum claims AI "will cure cancer"

In this whole Paramount vs Netflix war to buy WB, no one seems to be talking about the Paramount hostile bid being underwritten by the Saudi's. Under the Trump regime the Saudi's are scooping up large swaths of America's cultural backbone. A 5 alarm fire for conservatives of the past.

Netflix buying WB is really interesting.
It gives them
• entire DC comics universe to play with.
• HBO Catalog.
• Turner Classic Movies catalog
• Hanna-Barbera, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros Animation
• Harry Potter.
• Political satire from John Oliver and Bill Mahr.
• TNT live sports

Trump on what his MRI was looking at:

“I have no idea…It wasn't the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.”

Um, people seem to be missing an important point here. All of those substituted products had a price last year also. What was it? What was the total from last year for the substituted list of Thanksgiving food?
Hassett: "On one of the Sunday shows, the anchor criticized the fact Walmart said the Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper by about $10. Then he said, 'Oh yeah, but they substituted generic stuff,' as if having a generic something is a crime for ordinary folks! It shows how out of touch these people are."

I live in St. Paul, this doesn't feel like law enforcement.
Imagine if these officers were calm, friendly, in shirts, windbreakers, with sidearm/handcuffs on belts like other officers. Instead they are aggressive, combative, masked, armored, armed for war and riots.
We're so much better than this

Except it is not stranger than fiction. It is straight from Neal Stephenson’s bestselling actual-fiction book Termination Shock. There are multiple groups doing this. What people should care about is the central premise of the book… what happens when big oil gets behind it?
A 25-person startup is developing technology to block the sun and turn down the planet’s thermostat.

The stakes are huge — and the company and its critics say regulations need to catch up.

The nest thermostat is an asshole.
Nearly every day I need to set it back to the same temperature. I've edited the schedule, turned off every smart feature.
It thinks it knows better than me, and slowly changes it to someone else's idea of the ideal temperature.
Robots are dicks.
