Love requires you’re a bit mad and unreciprocated love, bruised love, congeals into a fantasy dream-like hate that weaves and binds the beautiful art and words at the heart of @grayhamputtock.bsky.social The Ape That Ate the World.

What was your favourite thing you made this year?

It's a hard choice for me and I didn't make as much art as I'd have liked. But I think it's these guys. Egbert, Admiral Pimpleneurker and Pardy Durr.

Share below :)

Labour have been rightly criticised for some bone-headed decisions (Waspi women, winter fuel, AI consultation, anyone?) and we've heard all about it. I think Starmer is a particularly poor communicator. But this is the other side that we don't hear about, because our news media is utterly broken.
I follow the news closely, but wasn't aware of a single one of these: bylinetimes.com/2024/12/20/l...

Yes, this gov could be way better at comms, but the key issue, I think, is that political journalism has become addicted to reporting fights/gossip, and has forgotten how to report on policy/action
All the Big Government Reforms the Media Hasn’t Been Telling You About
You won't have read much about these announcements over the past few weeks

Watched Cuckoo last night. Almost perfectly illustrates how to take a fun horror idea and make it incomprehensible.
