Remember when Rob Reiner was on Wizards and Hannah Montana as himself? That was so weird. But it’s also my oldest memory of the man, who I’d later learn to appreciate through his wonderful films Misery and The Princess Bride.
This is such a tragedy.

I was gonna be like “but Poirot” and then I saw they called the new Poirot movies “so so bad,” and now I’m REALLY like “BUT POIROT!”
The Branagh Poirot films - while yes, they are a bit flashback heavy - are fun. Death on the Nile is mid, but Orient Express is absolutely chef’s kiss perfect.

my favorite thing about the benoit blanc movies is that they aren't really about benoit blanc. he is not grappling with demons from his past. we are not getting flashbacks to the husband whose murder he never solved. he just shows up and does his job like mary poppins for homicides

A lot of it was actually GOOD!
