This morning at #COP30 in Belém, Australian joined a group led by Colombia that will plan a fossil fuel phaseout outside the UN process, with the first meeting to be held next year in Santa Marta. It is the most significant statement AUS has made on future of fossil fuels to date.

This is very illuminating about Trump’s relationship to politics. He is an island. With no allegiance to any party or ideology. He just wants his bread buttered and his ego stroked. By smiling, joking and nodding enthusiastically, Mamdani probably made him feel smart and like he has a buddy.

So good to see the England supporter flags draped on the railings at Perth … the radical thought that a stadium fence could be used for popular expression rather than commerce. We should question the commercial appropriation of public spaces.
