I don’t mind the odd bullpen game, but I still feel like you’re playing with fire at a certain point. 7-8 pitchers in and you’re eventually going to find a guy who just doesn’t have it that day.

A lot of the humour is also very character-driven. It comes from the odd situations they're put in, but if you have no baseline knowledge of the characters, the punchlines don't hit as hard. King of the Hill is another example.

Jerry intro'd the game back from commercial break and turned the mic over to Tom, because he had been there since day one.
