I genuinely think that this excessive bombardment of absolute insanity is on purpose to drive the reasonable ones amongst us crazy with despair and to convince the rest that this is in fact, normal. We are witnessing the peak “everyone has an opinion” and how dangerous that is. This shit is wild.

No one has ever been able to adequately explain what Putin is meant to have thought NATO expansion would threaten him with, apart from limiting his expansionist ambitions.

I say that as someone who has started newsrooms from scratch sometimes with two people - if you’re doing your job correctly you will need a lawyer because the first thing rich people do when you write something they don’t like is threaten you legally. It’s cheap for them and expensive for you
