for context last year I tore my meniscus while sitting. shifted my weight and bam couldn’t put weight on my knee for days

SIMON: What?

SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

Yeah, I hope so too! Luckily I still have full strength/mobility and it’s on my non-dominant side so it’ll be easier to stay off/not agitate it for a couple days. (Unfortunately, this has happened to me before on the other side so I know what to expect.)

Using AI is ceding control of the creative process not to a team of artists you might not understand like VFX but to a machine owned by a fucking tech company. Oh and the machine drinks all your water, power, and art as fuel.

I had to entirely re-export this. I drew it nine years ago and the files were corrupted.

It was funny opening up the old files and seeing how different my priorities were and how many basic mistakes I was making.

This sequence was my baby back then and I remember being so proud of it.
