really cannot be emphasized enough that bari weiss has literally never done journalism. i don’t mean that in the pejorative sense. i mean that in the “has never performed the job she was hired to do” sense
One explanation for Bari killing the story is that she did so as a public act of fealty to the administration. But another is that, as an inexperienced journalist, she doesn’t understand that a refusal to go on the record is a kind of comment in and of itself

Let’s get this upfront and seriously established: if you are in line to vote, you are a citizen and entitled to exercise your franchise. We must have police protecting voters so they are not “detained” for several hours so they miss the chance to vote.

Why don’t we see Amber Alerts on all of the missing kids grabbed by ICE? I’ve read about as many as 600 and seriously consider that an undercount. What happens to kids whose parents are dragged off by ICE and disappeared?? Where are the 1300 or more men who WERE in Alligator Alcatraz??
