Romano-British opulence: the magnificent 4th century silver dish, almost two feet across, found at Mildenhall, #Suffolk.
Imported from the #Mediterranean, it depicts Oceanus surrounded by nymphs.

Golden fire wakes the land,
Stone and tide by light are fanned.
Shadows flee the amber tide,
Daylight breaks the night’s last stride.

Clouds like dragons breathe and glow,
Whispers rise where the currents flow.
Dawn has come, and her silence sings.
A flame that stirs all living things.

“Nothing quite like the calm, reassuring presence of George Dixon in Dixon of Dock Green. A reminder that sometimes, the best crime-solving isn’t about action or drama—it’s about listening, understanding, and doing what’s right. Classic British telly at its finest. #DixonOfDockGreen #ClassicTV

Meat Loaf’s 1983 album saw him without Jim Steinman, leading to a rawer, less grandiose sound. The label refused to fund Steinman’s songs (which later went to Bonnie Tyler & Air Supply). A mixed bag, but tracks like the title song & Razor’s Edge still rock! #MeatLoaf #Rock
