Minor Threat

A fantastic, great band with a far too quick ending.

This band is genuinely one of the coolest and most fascinating in the scene at any time, And everyone should check them out and watch their documentary.

A band called 'Death' was punk before punk was punk

Formed in November 1971 by the 3 Hackney brothers, they were influential pioneers of the genre and, along with Pure Hell, the first all-black proto-punk/punk band.

I followed Raymond Pettibon on Twitter years ago and the stuff he posted was certifiably demented. His artwork is more serious and hits the sweet spot between Japanese block printing, minimalism, underground comix humor and punk.
The most famous and creative cover designer in the punk rock scene!!

Raymond Pettibon, between 1980 and 1996 he designed, among other things, the iconic "Four Bars" logo of Black Flag as well as album covers and flyers.

Lembro exatamente do momento que ouvi esse disco e pensei que era realmente um marco na minha vida.

Rápido, pesado e confuso, com letras de todo que eu estava sentindo no momento.

As a skateboarding 12 year old received a VHS copy of the Santa Cruz video Streets on Fire
featuring the music of:

Sonic Youth
Black Flag
fIREHOSE
Pailhead
and most importantly
the Descendents

This began my lifelong obsession with punk-leaning indie music.

(looking at this as the biggest shift in musical genre-- conveniently removing The Police's « Zenyatta Mondatta »)

there was not one album: a epochal moment when a Freshman year roommate played Joy Division's « Closer », followed by Wire's « Pink Flag ».

a bizarre double album, perhaps.
At 15, I listened to rock, hard rock, and glam rock.

Then I heard "Young, Loud and Snotty," the debut album by The Dead Boys, at a friend's house.

Listen → buy → forever in my heart

Found the path to punk 😍

I wasn't even a teenager when I heard an album that changed my taste in music forever. My buddy's older brother played the album to the left in 1970.

As a teenager? Without a doubt AC/DC's Let There Be Rock in 1977.

I was also a teenager when I saw my first rock concert. Frank Zappa in 1973.

Switched from Mandopop to punk while recovering from a heartbreaking breakup. I was 13 and a few months old. Was immediately drawn to The Sufferer and the Witness by Rise Against. (Then Sex Pistols, Ramones, long way down. )
