Just gonna say this: our families don't all hate or revile us as queer Aboriginal people. Aboriginal people aren't trying to find a way to alienate our families and friends. This white queer rendering of queer Aboriginal people as cast out by mob is ridiculous and a colonial fantasy. And racist.

I’d be more convinced that this was actually true had fossil fuel giants not spent the last decade since the Paris Agreement and 2 years since COP28 aggressively building out production infrastructure that will see a glut of oil and gas for at least 15 years more

What is Australia using decades of water extraction for? Industrial agriculture for cheap meat overseas for McDonalds.

BTW, the words 'uranium mine' do not appear in either piece, at all, despite that that's what we're talking about here. BHP's Olympic Dam is a huge and hugely profitable copper-uranium mine.

"It is the fourth largest copper deposit and the largest known single deposit of uranium in the world," WP.

'Some staff are shocked?' ALL recently forced out staff, & the few experts left, everyone who isn't in the questionable senior management tier knows that the State Library in Melbourne is teetering on the brink of irreparable disaster & the end of this iconic Library as we know it. Inquiry now.
The State Library of Victoria’s ‘major’ proposed cuts include slashing the number of reference librarians and free computers for public access. Some staff are shocked.

That’s thousands locked out. Shut out. Let down.
The rules haven’t changed, but the approvals have.

Australia. Worse than the USA when it comes to homelessness.
This is eye-opening.

The USA has a homeless rate of around 20 people of every 10,000 (> 650,000).

Australia has a homeless rate of 48 of every 10,000 (about 122,500)

South Korea is at 2 out of 10,000 (8,986).

China 19 of 10,000 (2,579,000)
