Bluesky use KWS to do age verification if you "Chat" in Australia. If you select the credit card option to allow KWS to use Stripe to authorise payment of 10c be aware that NAB will probably flag that as suspicious and send you a SMS and if you take the legit path they will block your card anyway.

When I was a kid there was a TV show in New Zealand called "The Mad Dog Gang Meets Rotten Fred and Ratsguts". Filmed near where I lived, a few scenes set in a school had friends as extras. The day after it aired those kids joined our school for a sports day. It was weird after seeing them on TV.

I'm wondering if I should consume any Christmas-themed content this year, and I think, because the year has gone by so quickly, and the world's troubles this year have been particularly distracting, the so-called Christmas Spirit that I occasionally feel just isn't there this time around.

I work at a signage firm and part of my job is to check for defects to bring to the attention of the Print Room Manager. The bad news is I am colourblind so cannot see half the things that I'm supposed to look out for. Even when they point the fault out to me I still am unable to see anything.

Text-based LLMs were trained on human speech and writing patterns. That means the interface looks like giving it human speech and writing and the output looks like human speech and writing. But none of this means there is any actual thinking happening. That seems to be hard for people to remember.

We made a sign for this organisation today, and I loved their logo. Not only is it elephants, and jigsaw pieces, but I was particularly impressed by the stethoscope.
