And Ms Ruth is a SAINT, who deals with unbelievable, often racist, abuse from drivers. She is one of the most lovely and devoted people I know who works in our schools.

As a former Summit parent, I would encourage you to engage with the community in a positive way first, before coming on like you’re trying to bust people. The real issue is that we don’t have the infra req’d to safely manage traffic flow for kids being picked up. No one is trying to be an asshole.

Car brain is real! And so is people feeling defensive while a white woman who they don’t know is taking photos of their vehicle. The combo isn’t helpful, even if you’re trying to make things safer. Those families may be undocumented or have had past negative experiences with law enforcement.

At a transportation research conference that is still probably about 90% dudes. We miss so much in planning and engineering our communities when everyone in the room has similar experiences of how people interact with you in public space.

yeah the repeatedly failed state legislature candidate who moved here in 2020, the right wing radio host who faildoxes people under a pseudonym, and the candidate Allison trounced for her spot on the Board are all trying to make this a thing. really think it’s important to nip this in the bud.

want to boost this. guarantee TPUSA is going to try and stack it, but they simply do not have the local numbers to do so *if* we recognize it’s coming and respond in kind. I think it’s critical to set a tone that we will back our local officials against disingenuous right wing bullshit.

I never want to see another human trot across a crosswalk, hurry their stroller/kids/mobility device or rush a senior resident through an intersection or any road. It’s ridiculous, like we’ve been gifted some incredible act of patience and kindness from our auto overlords.

Improving bike/ped infrastructure takes longer and is more expensive than I want. And we have a LOT of catching up to do. But after decades of ignoring it, we do finally have the support to prioritize bike lanes, sidewalks, and traffic calming at the City. Keep riding, walking, and pushing for more!

i will also be voting for Lisa Torres and Dashad Cooper! I will NOT be voting for Emily Dooley, whose time as chair was spent shoving through an expensive & dangerous policy (SROs) without genuine community input or meaningful guardrails.
