And also when we look back at the overall journey, it was a hell of a season:

• Challenge Cup win
• Trin, Rose, Casey all with epic result changing goals
• Aubrey playoff heroics once again
• Beating Orlando in Orlando—twice!
• Just watching them persevere

Bring on 2026, come what may until then
Also, I know people say “the internet is not real life” or whatever but on the Spirit’s post on IG right after the final, the overwhelming majority of the comments were supportive of the team and the players and expressing pride in the group. That says a lot in and of itself.

In no particular order, top 5 moments of the journey that was this Spirit season:

• Trin goal on her return vs Thorns
• Rose making a 50-yard run to get the equalizer vs Rahsing
• Rose shross to beat the Wavé
• The two wins over Orlando in Orlando
• Aubrey going beast mode in penalties vs Rahsing

I took the plunge with the @heyspirits.bsky.social group therapy session this morning and just like others on here have said, this was such a special team and one result in a final doesn't change how fun the season was as a whole. I back the coach and players to get us there again.

SD needs to establish the run early and maybe do some play action to get Dreyer in a rhythm through the air
Compared to what we've had in the past here at Snapdragon, this isn't the worst, but we'll still have some college football lines here for SDFC v Minnesota

I mean this was pure theater

These will all be bangers btw and again, the NCAA just doesn’t know what it has with this tournament. Tons of eyeballs need to be on these!
So with Stanford now 4-0 up on BYU, the quarterfinals are all but set:

(3) FSU vs Ohio St
(1) Vanderbilt vs (2) TCU
(1) Stanford** vs (2) Michigan St (provided they hang on to their lead)
(2) Duke vs (4) Washington

I knew the Kysha news was likely given the international spots and the fact that she was on loan here, but that doesn’t mean I like it any more. Every time we needed her to step up and fill in at CB she did.

And the Commodores will sail on to the uncharted waters of the Elite Eight! LSU had a great run but that will come to an end.

If you don't love the sport after something like that, I got nothing for ya.

And we will have ourselves a new national champion! Frogs hop along to the quarterfinals!

Brutal for Fuller

Faasse waited too long on that first pen

PKs coming up from Cowtown!
November 24, 2025 at 9:45 PM
Meanwhile Stanford already up 2-0 against BYU on the Farm, thanks again to Jas Aikey and Andrea Kitahata. Sparty awaiting the winner of that one.

My dad facetimed me from London right after that went in but I really thought TCU weren’t gonna get that corner off. Heels had stifled them for 89 minutes and 56 seconds but all it took was Fuller being unmarked at the back post. If you aren’t watching this tournament, reevaluate your life choices.

CARDIAC FROGS
November 24, 2025 at 9:12 PM
4 minutes for the Frogs to rescue this
November 24, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Bad defending by TCU but the incisive run by Devey was what created that
November 24, 2025 at 9:00 PM
Oh noooo Horned Frogs

Violent conduct is violent conduct, whether it’s against an opponent or teammate. Right decision.
Everton's Idrissa Gana Gueye is shown a straight red card after a scuffle with HIS OWN TEAMMATE, Michael Keane. 😳

Big save by TCU’s keeper on Thomas, you’d expect Olivia to hit the back of the net there
November 24, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Michele 🥺
November 24, 2025 at 8:20 PM
Olivia Stafford of Arlington already out here megging people for the Commodores
