3. The POs for NIGMS and NIA have been phenomenal (as well as NIBIB, which is an aspiration for us). They have been very calm and reassuring, even as I know that their individual lives are very challenging. We are very lucky to have these staff and should be fighting for them whenever possible. 4/n

MARIANNE VOS WINS STAGE 1 OF 🇫🇷 #TDFF2025
Wow what an ending! Pauline Ferrand-Prévot had looked like taking the win but tires in the last metres leading to Marianne Vos taking her 250th win of her career, and the yellow jersey!

Ok Teams is a disaster but honestly I really like the new Factor 1/Factor 2 review rubric. Much cleaner discussions, more focused on the science and outcomes, and clear boundaries for the SRO/chair to enforce.
The way NIH's Teams meetings sporadically mute audio between random pairs of participants is a marvel of government efficiency. Bravo on the move away from a reliable videoconf platform, a decision I'm sure was made after consulting with the affected CSR staff.

I was just sent this picture of me explaining something to one of the staffers of Representative Suzanne Bonamici (Oregon's 1st congressional district). The thing that impressed me about these congressional staffers is how smart and dedicated they are. I wish we could remove partisan politics.
