That "they make CoD games so big because you're less incentivised to delete them" conspiracy theory that goes around every other year or so is one of those things I believe in spite of having no evidence because there's no reason for one game to take up the entirety of a base PS4's HDD otherwise.
i dont think this will save the games industry or anything but if games can go back to being like 10-15 gigs to download i would appreciate it

if you ever feel bad about yourself because someone in FFXIV put you down in a way that was weirdly aggressive and personal, i implore you to remember that this tweet is still very true. it's arguably *more* true in 2026 than it was in 2022, because modding has become so much easier
