im hoping since stuff like Lunacid & Labyrinth of the Demon King is playing in the same field (though taking far more from King's Field/Shadow Tower) it'll get more people interested and eventually arriving at it and realizing they need to rip it off immediately

The last run through the tower i did I straight up had a sword that did higher damage in exchange for increased VT drain and i still never ran out + pushed it to like 140 max using that coffin that turns all enemies into a run into Hearts after using the coffin that summons all enemies into the room

See I thought i would hate it but at least in the Saturn version i almost never run out of vitality for very long between heal items, equip/infest/etc items that can slow it down, regaining some when you kill enemies… it also is perpetually healing you while you do have it, it’s well balanced !
