Most households subject to the two-child limit already have at least one adult in work.

Of the minority of households that are not in work, more than nine-in-ten have a child under three or a disabled family member with additional care needs, making any return to the labour market challenging.

To all those ‘child poverty’ warriors out there: child poverty is poverty. Children are poor because their families are poor and their communities are poor. Stratifying poverty might make it more palatable to talk about, but it misrepresents the challenges.

No, MPs haven't legalised abortion up to birth. That lie was spread on X by many who should know better. The change is about saving a handful of vulnerable women from trauma and prison. Women about whom those people do not even think.

Prior to 2017, HMRC had a separate unit to investigate the tax affairs of the super rich. But then they scrapped it.

As a result our schools and hospitals are likely losing £billions.
