I love knowing that David Pajo gave one of his guitars he used to record Spiderland to his 11-year-old nephew who was interested in learning guitar. Plenty of Very Cool Dudes would have paid tons of money for it to hang it on the wall, but instead my friend learned to play Smoke on the Water on it.

My town would rule to live in if the interurbans were still around. You used to be able to take it into the nearest city, and from there you could catch a train. Then you could catch trains directly to Chicago, Cincinnati, Louisville, Indianapolis, St. Louis, and even New Orleans.
