This is very interesting to me. When we asked vet whether Luka’s anatomy made him injury-prone, his read was that long legs, light weight & speed made him vulnerable to getting hurt if he was knocked into or tackled, which other dogs do to play. Luka would just run at top speed & get blindsided 😬

That may be Luka’s problem. He was always the only Sighthound in the park, surrounded by massive Golden Retrievers & the like. Sighthounds are very rare in our area.

Luka’s Mom here: I gotta ask, do your dogs ever get hurt when they roughhouse like this? We stopped taking Luka to dog parks because it seemed like he sprained something every time he collided with another dog ☹️

To the well meaning folks who keep saying ‘we can’t let this happen’: It’s already happened. The government is closed, people are being fired or deported w/o due process, govt officials are being prosecuted for opposing trump, & the military is occupying cities that voted against him. It’s over.

Whereas Republicans shut down the government to avoid releasing files that may incriminate the President, packed the Supreme Court with drunks & grifters, & effectively denied women OB/GYN care by threatening to imprison doctors who act to save the lives of their pregnant patients.
