I loved legacy. To have them just drop all of its world building and characters, then come back to the property a decade later with some sex pests pet project is just gross. It doesn't fit the formula for any reason to exist. We are in the year of cater to the creepers.

The problem is the formula for a sequel is box office success, planned trilogy, cult following reboots. What's is missing that we used to get was B-movie direct to video sequel. That never happened. And TV show, which we got, cancelled.

not really if you are familiar with the history of Gearbox. Randy Pitchford is a real piece of shit who is full of himself. The asshat stumbled on success then forced his way into popularity. I wouldn't buy a game from them after 2012. They are not EA, but they want to be.
