#Autumn in Saint-Nicolas 🍂
#Scape #Landscape

#Mountain #Alps
Saint-Nicolas is a village in the Aosta Valley at 1200m above sea level with a population of 332 people.
The image shows a forest with trees in typical autumn colors, with leaves ranging from green to deep yellow. In the background, a snow-capped mountain and the village bell tower stand under a partly cloudy sky. A green meadow in the foreground contrasts with the warmer colors of the forest.

A flourish of autumn crocus fills the frame, their violet petals delicate and drenched in morning dew, radiating a gentle opulence. Each bloom reveals vivid orange anthers, elegantly poised against the lush green backdrop and earthy textures. The abundance of blossoms creates an impression of natural luxury, as their presence enlivens the garden scene with a vivid burst of color and seasonal grace.

#FlowerReport:

From San Jose, California, yesterday.

Tilt-A-Whirl and Fireworks.
Close-up photo of a passion flower, slightly tilted, in front of green leaves and some light brown vines. Photo from below showing a cluster of four small white five-petal star-like flowers, growing outward from a straight branch with thin green leaves. The branch is at a 45 degree angle, going up to the right. The flowers are facing downward, and there are two more shoots arching out with unopened buds, with one flower beginning to open. The way that the flowers are attached to the branch with shoots that arc and separate them, it's as if they are popping out from the branch. All this against a bright blue sky.

Thank you for finding such a beautiful vision, and sharing it with all.

Meteor Crater Natural Landmark
Arizona

The desert doesn’t forget. It holds the echo of impact, the hush of aftermath, and the slow healing of time.

Verbena bonariansis flower head with a second little stem, looks as if it's proffering a bouquet

Hmm! It really does look like she's offering a bouquet. Makes the image even more enjoyable. Nice use of the Alt text.

Aww. Heartfelt words. The hope of Spring, the little ache inside when it's so far away. Still, there's hope.

#FlowerReport:

From Gilroy and San Jose, California,
today and yesterday.

Alt text would have been:

Two photos of roses.
One is a softly lit yellow and peach tinged rose.
The other is a bright white rose, looking up and slightly right, with light shadows among her petals.

Nice.

@graciewilde.bsky.social: This seems like a quote that would resonate with you.

Here's to the sun rising tomorrow.

Dream well.

Blowing a gale and on and off rain showers on this morning's walk here in Glastonbury. It was still an interesting sky at sunrise though.

Oh wow. That's especially nice. Great framing.

From San Jose and Gilroy, California,
this week.
A photo collage of six flowers: Some white roses, dramatically lit in shadow and light, with tumbling white and gray clouds, amid a blue sky streak. Four other roses of orange, white, light pink, and stark yellow. And a clutch of light blue plumbago flowers among dark green leaves.
