as someone that tries to use my computer in the "best" way possible, i have a curse where it's difficult for me to watch others use their computers in ways that seem, to me, "worse". i always feel like i should say something to help them, but 99.9% of people just get annoyed when you try to do that

Crunch is nearly always a failure from management that labor has to fix without additional compensation. Mandatory crunch, especially with salaried employees, is immoral. IMHO.
