I think as AI becomes harder to distinguish the arts best response is going to be get weirder.

when I was a bad programmer and wasn't even aware of how bad I was, I shipped a game
now I'm a (relatively) good programmer and I haven't been able to even START a serious project in years because I try to future-proof everything and write good code
just go with the spaghetti, make the damn game

1. Refactor the entire codebase from prototype spaghetti to a scalable, future-proof architecture in anticipation of features that are currently just bullet points on a roadmap that keeps getting longer. all undocumented.
2. Kill myself.

Don't be afraid to draw because it "won't look good" or you feel you aren't as good as others. The fact yer creating something already puts ya big steps ahead of most folks.
Improvement comes with time too, it took me years to get to a decently comfy spot with my art but I still have a lot to go.

this might be surprising coming from me but... I don't enjoy after burner. it's a beautiful game in all of its iterations, and a sibling to my beloved outrun, but the gameplay is just... dizzying 😵💫 my brain can't deal with the speed, the camera, the physics
