This advice is nothing new to a lot of folks, but may help some artists. If you're struggling to get into the flow for your project, start with the smallest tasks. Tiny fixes you need to do, setting up a scene, etc. For me, the flow starts after 20-40 minutes of working; so filling that time with

when i’m writing darker stuff i’m always gravitating towards a phrygian mode. love how it sounds but it’s so hard to find the right vocals for. probably why i usually leave them out most of the timez

i don’t really have a huge interest in analog synths or drum machines, (just not a workflow i enjoy much) but if i were to use them, these are 100% the kind of beats i’d want to be making.
