Molly (15 year old elderly dog) was up all night pacing around and refusing to lay down and sleep. This is very much not the norm for her, she sleeps all night every night. I realized when I was downstairs with her at 4:30 am because she was barking that I forgot to give her her night meds 🤦🏼♀️

Apparently my dentist office is short-staffed right now and my dentist is going to be doing my cleaning? I don’t know how I feel about this lol.

I normally teach 8 lessons on Mondays. Most of my students have the whole week off for Thanksgiving, so predictably I was going to only have 4 today. 2 canceled this morning so now I only have 2 lessons today 😁 oh no what will I do with all this free time today??

Seeing The Beth’s and the opening band is Squirrel Flower (who we saw here with The Beth’s before) and one of the song’s lyrics is “taking it easy is a full time job, one that I’m tired of. Doing my best is a full time job, but it doesn’t pay the rent” and I’ve never related to a song more lol

My husband and I have tickets to see The Beth’s tonight for a late bday present (his was last week)! We got them many months ago before we were booked to play in different musicals this weekend, but luckily mine is only about a half mile from the concert venue and ends right before it starts.

Started as a music performance major but then freaked out bc all of my friends were music ed majors and convinced me to switch bc I’d “need something to fall back on” which is so dumb, but it ended up working out lol. Never ever wanted to teach until my elem gen music student teaching placement.

Just finished show 26/52 of Jekyll & Hyde which means we are officially halfway through! We originally were doing 44 shows, but since it’s been sold out since early November they extended it by two weeks. We’re breaking during the holidays and starting back in January, so we close 1/10.

Molly’s back nail broke off a little a few days ago but it seemed fine. Apparently this morning it broke open again because when I got home there was blood all over the floor 😱 it seems ok now, I searched what to do and put cornstarch on it to stop the bleeding.

I finally have a vacation coming up next week and this week is going impossibly slow. How is it only Wednesday?? HOW. Every day I’ve felt like it was the day ahead and keep reminding myself it’s not and being annoyed and disappointed ☹️
I have a very busy full week this week BUT! Next week I’m only teaching one day and then I have six glorious days off for Thanksgiving 😁 I would only have two days normally but I got a sub for Jekyll & Hyde and I’m taking the whole week and going on a friends trip!

Ran today in the high 30s bundled and freezing 🥶 and now I feel like I will never feel warm again. Doubtful that I’ll be out in shorts and a tee again this year.
Iran Tuesday morning all bundled up in 25 degree windchills with snow on the ground and froze my ass off. Today I ran in shorts and a t-shirt in 66 degrees 🥵 get it together, Fall.

I was demonstrating marcato accents for one of my students and one totally squeaked a horrible squonk (yes squonk) so loud because I was really trying to overdo it. It was so terrible.

I’ll be happy when it’s Winter just so I’ll stop being woken up at 8 am by a horde of gas leaf blowers 😵💫 I seriously hate the landscaping company we have now. They just blew stuff everywhere, all over the sidewalks and on everyone’s stoops. Isn’t that the opposite point of leaf blowing?!?
