Watched a NES retrospective by a (presumably) US YouTuber. Was pleasantly surprised that he took 5 mins to explain that the US experience wasn't global and most of the rest of the world was happily playing on home computers during the mid-80s "gaming crash". More attention to detail than the BBC.

Age of Calamity's biggest story problem is that they don't explain Harbinger Ganon at all until the DLC, and he's sort of critical for understanding the overall story and why things deviate so heavily from BOTW

I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

Imprisonment plays better (combat is improved + 60fps) but the story and content in Calamity is so much better it's not even funny.
To the point I think Imprisonment should have just been a sequel to Calamity rather than a prequel to TOTK.
