Just a happy-go-lucky scamp who tries to cope with the insanity and inanity of this world. Politics: far-centrist. Rejoiner. Democratic civic nationalist.

Fallor, ergo sum.

2025 goal: don't suffer a rapid unscheduled OPSEC disassembly

I'm stealing this so I can use it as my pinned Bleet.

If you haven't listened or read Rutger's excellent Reith lecture then I urge you to.

Shame on the BBC execs for censoring a simple statement of truth.

I was listening to Michael Crick on BBC R4 Today earlier. Whilst he deplored Farage's undeniable teenage racism, he found scant evidence of it as an adult.

So what? Farage might not be overtly racist these days, but he tacitly endorses it and seeks the support of those who are. Is that worse? Yes.

If true this would be very amusing. I wonder what Piggy will make of it?
Russia has sent over 120 military trainers to venezuela to train venezuelan forces around air defence and guerrilla warfare.

This article is from 2019. I wonder whether Farage and Bannon are still in touch?

I find Bannon a revoltingly fascinating person. He doesn't appear to be influential within the MAGA movement any more, but is still honking. Just the chap to be a Farage confederate.

I'm perfectly that DMGT has purchased the Doollallygraph, as long as it results in opinion writers such as Allison (tin foil hat) Pearson and Allister (look into my eyes, not around my eyes) Heath receiving even heftier doses of psychoactive drugs.

Treble Lucy tabs all round!

Trump's timeline of "Truths" is fascinating. Once you get past the MAGAbot memes and the dull but earnest acolytes, you find real people, many, many of them disgruntled Trump voters who are starting to take issue with everything he says and question his ability.

What a curious person Danny Kruger is. I can see him fitting into Reform rather well and becoming a significant player. The idea that he might view Reform as a "brownfield" site is quite alarming.

He said "Amen" straight into the drop

Lmao Pope Leo threw a rave for an archbishop's 75th birthday this is kind of incredible

I am by no means a prominent public intellectual, but my inbox is increasingly filled with messages from people who have been convinced by sycophantic chatbots that they have discovered revolutionary theories that entirely upend our scientific understanding of the universe.

When fiction and likely truth collide. If you have never read any of Spaffer's tediously pretentious pieces for the shabby rump of the Street of Shame then read no further.

I keep my eye out for a Johnson book in charity shops, but never see any. Collector's items, or pulped?

Eugepae, Henry!
Yes he may have bungled his response to a lethal pandemic, but this book about Shakespeare that Boris wrote instead of attending those COBR meetings will clearly stand the test of time.
