Even the new furnace is struggling to keep up. It's been on all night and it's just now 49F in here. My heated blanket died too. We are going to get stuff to seal the windows and doors because it's not gonna get any warmer outside for a long while yet :')
Heat has finally be restored to our house for the first time since Tuesday night! Our toilet did explode because of how cold it got in here, but one thing at a time <3

Found someplace warm for tonight while the house freezes :) kitties, partner, and I are spending the night with a friend and ots sooo nice and warm. I even got a hot shower for the first time in almost a week!!! She made us lasagna. So thankful

Yeah house not heating just smells like fire. Furnace temp fix didn't work aaaah
So it turns out we need a whole new furnace 😵💫 but they said they can at least get in put in tomorrow morning. We have a temporary fix in the current one, so the house is heating back up after 42hrs of cold, but everything smells like burning plastic
