I like most of the classics of horror, but one I repeatedly find people don't really know of is the second film adaptation of Susan Hill's novel "The Woman in Black". Similarly to "Crimson Peak" I love horror that can scare you with little to no gore. Ghost stories being my favorite. Give it a look.

Forgive me I'm still in a Christmas mood. This video of Brett Goldstein never fails to make me smile. He does a medley of songs from "A Muppet Christmas Carol", and you can just hear the crowd go back to their childhood selves, the joy of the moment is palpable.

The writing in Stranger Things has been hot garbage since season 2. My buddy was watching the last season and I watched it for like 15 minutes, we were both laughing at how contrived it is and how everything is so predictable. Watch “Welcome to Derry” if you want great horror writing / nostalgia.
