@davidasuper.bsky.social has an interesting piece up on Balkinization, at the end of which he makes the point that because the administration is breaking the law so much of late, journalists are starting to be less interested in even reporting what the law is—

Corruption at the highest levels of Florida’s government. Color me shocked.
NEW: On September 10, 2024, Florida health officials planned to brief Gov. Ron DeSantis’ office on a $67 million Medicaid settlement that could soon come Florida’s way, newly released records show. The next day, the settlement was redrafted to peel away $10 million for Casey DeSantis's Hope Florida.
DeSantis’ office was scheduled to discuss a legal deal. The first lady’s Hope Florida got millions afterward, records show
Hundreds of pages of new records detail the back-and-forth legal maneuvers in a Medicaid settlement that later turned into a political scandal.

A truly disheartening case of how misinformation won, and seemingly so easily.

I realized I had no idea what Section 507 of the Rehabilitation Act was. I googled it, and Google’s AI overview gave me a very convincing but also a very nonsensical answer, referencing to wheelchairs in national parks and amending the Wilderness Act to allow them.

For the first time ever in my life, I made both turnips and beets. Roasted ‘em. Not bad at all. Don’t know why they seem to get such a bad rap:

Wow, who could have seen this coming except for all the people from County and the Commission on Aging who said this would happen at every public hearing on the proposal for affordable senior housing in McGovern Park?

This is a doctor who committed actual fraud. It’s all about ideology not ethics with the Trump MAGA Administration.
Pam Bondi, attorney general, has dropped charges against a doctor accused of destroying Covid-19 vaccines worth $28,000, distributing fake vaccination record cards, and giving children saline shots instead of the vaccine at their parents' request.

OUTRAGEOUS!

Dog had a 2nd appt at a new vet office, just for a shot. Traffic made me late and I let them know enroute. They tried to pull the “we’ll need to reschedule per policy.” No, lady, I’ve seen your office. You don’t have the business to justify that yet. (1/2)
