For dirt late model fans looking for the schedules of the two primary national series. Will you be traveling to see any live, or watching on Flo (Lucas) or DirtVision (WoO)? I think most shows will avoid weather cancellations (bought myself a special storm path sharpie).😉

So Russia’s war against Ukraine is settled in mere days, right? If the man said it, it’s gotta be true! Right? I mean have we ever known him not to deliver?

This man and a small group of capitol police officers singlehandedly saved our democracy four years ago.

In November, 77 million Americans said "to hell with them" and voted for the insurrectionists.

Your "Back the Blue" flags are a pathetic disgrace and your patriotism is bullsh*t.

As Amanda Marcotte notes via Salon this morning: “Facts did not matter. The order had been implicitly given and Republicans are pretending this is ‘foreign’ terrorism.”
The “Facts Do Not Matter” administration is ready for its close-up, Mr. DeMille.

Thinking some in Trump’s circle are trying to assemble by Jan. 6 an alternate slate of electors to replace those committed to Musk. It worked so well last time.

The New Oligarchy
I argued some time before the U.S. presidential election in November that technology ethics would be on the ballot. Donald Trump’s triumph leaves no doubt that his vocal supporters in the tech industr...

I suppose it was brilliant on the part of Patel to write that children’s book The Plot Against the King featuring Hillary as the villain and Patel himself as a wizard called the Distinguished Discoverer. Amazon says it can be read by a 5-year-old so it may be in Dear Leader’s wheelhouse.

This USAC Midget race at Bakersfield on FloRacing has a fun field. Larson, Kofoid, Courtney, Axom, Day, Kyle Busch and many others. Don’t follow this series too much, but should be a good show.

Please tell me this one will decide not to be a “distraction” and follow Matty to Cameo.
Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s pick for defense secretary, has written in a book that he could imagine a scenario in which the US armed forces would be used violently in American domestic politics.
Trump’s Pentagon pick Hegseth wrote of US military taking sides in ‘civil war’
Defense secretary pick said in 2020 that should Democrats win election the military ‘will be forced to make a choice’

Feeling thankful to learn about Democracy 2025. The coalition of 280+ organizations is “committed to working more quickly, more strategically, and in greater numbers than ever before to defend our democracy and disrupt far-right attacks on the American people.”

"Trump won the election. We have to do what he wants."

"RFK Jr/Gaetz/Gabbard/Hegseth/etc were confirmed by the Senate. We have to do what they want."

We are human beings before we are subjects and citizens. In our capacity as moral agents, we can refuse to jump off a cliff or push someone else off
Do not let this happen. Activists will do their thing. Reporters have to now do theirs. Every R senator needs to be held to account for the arson that’s slowly unfolding

One thing I can promise you: the political elites and institutions which ushered in the rise of fascism will not be the elites or institutions that get us out of fascism.
the important question isn’t “did Harris lose because the left is too woke?” it’s “why isn’t Donald Trump in federal prison?” We’re being subjected to lectures about politics by the people who held all of the power and let this dipshit slip through their grasp.

Really good Adam Entous story on one of the most famous Hunter texts: "Unlike Pop I won’t make you give me half your salary.” Republicans insist this means he gave half his Burisma $ to Joe - but there's zero evidence of that and a backstory for that comment.

Hunter Biden Text Cited in Impeachment Inquiry Is Not What G.O.P. Suggests
A 2019 message from the president’s son alluded to giving his father half his salary. The back story offers unflattering insights into the Biden family but does not support assertions of corruption.
