Not to protect the legal order, civil rights, or private property as previous presidents did in the 30 times it has been invoked, Trump would utilize the Insurrection Act to subvert the law, suppress rights, and smash property

Congress could step in any time.

Would only take a handful of Rs to come to their senses.

But they are pathetic cowards who would rather impoverish our nation than muster the courage to speak up for their constituents.

21-year-old activist injured by ICE:

I will be blind for life. I have fractures in my skull that they can't fix. They pulled a piece of plastic the size of a nickel out of my eye. I had shards of metal, glass, and plastic behind my eye and in my skull. They said it was a miracle I survived.

The one thing authoritarian leaders usually have going for them is the general apathy of the majority when they make a move solely against a marginal group in society.

But when they occupy an entire city with clumsy, brutal force, that just forces everyone out of that apathy.

This is 10th-grader Arnoldo Bazan.

A citizen.

Immigration agents grabbed him and put him in a chokehold.

"We're from the United States bro!' he screamed.

Agents took and sold his phone

And when he finally got home hours later, his shirt was ripped, he neck had angry, red welts, and he sobbed.

They’re using American cities as training grounds for wide scale repression, and have the budget to hire countless more dangerous dingdongs. And they know if they don’t subvert elections they’ll face accountability.

We must defend our communities, safeguard elections, & bring them all to justice.
The decision has been made to break an American city. It is an experiment. We must do all we can (legally) to help Minneapolis hold on.
if you want to know what it is like in minneapolis, I don’t even have to scroll on facebook to find a horror story. it’s basically my whole feed.

everyone i know in minneapolis is seeing ICE take people—at gas stations, taquerias, bus stops, schools. just snatching random people.

Until he and his enablers are held legally accountable, his violence will continue.
