If you are at all interested in european history or weird documentaries, I would recommend you try to catch Fiume O Morte if you can - it talks about Gabriele D'Annunzio's brief pre-WW2 occupation of a city in modern day Croatia through locals' recreations of the photographs his media team took.

As someone whose children were at Girl Guides Scotland, it impressed me that they were so open and welcoming.

Ultimately mixed feelings about Frankenstein - but whether or not the writing fully worked for me, it's still a gorgeous Del Toro spectacle, and worth a watch for the beautifully nasty anatomy scenes in the first half alone. boxd.it/bo1O2R

I think the favourite thing I've ever seen in this genre is people asking whether Byron would be cancelled today.

My new story, Four Flowers in Formaldehyde, comes out in Pink Hydra on October 3rd. The story is heavily influenced by "mad science" horror films of the mid-20th century - where deadly experiments are performed in the basements of crumbling gothic manors in pursuit of youth, beauty and immortality.
