Heather Lende (Haines, AK) has been posting every day this month, and this post is just the best example of how a small, somewhat isolated town can come together as a community and share some joy in an otherwise figuratively and literally dark time. #SpreadLove

Curzon is home!!! Despite a night with below zero wind chill, he's perfectly fine, just a little muddy.

I know money's tight this year, but my friend who is like my older brother is trying to help out a family in his community. He's a legit good dude (and the original moose guy jr back when we were teens). If you can spare a dollar or two, or just boost this, I'd appreciate it.

Curzon is missing. I let him out back to do his business and he just disappeared. I've looked and I haven't found them. Anybody if you're in the Potomac/ Bethesda area please keep an eye out.

Between cedar and aspens
Pale gray in morning light
Clouds come down to greet the river
Settle around houses
Lights in the kitchen, pies in ovens
Knives on wooden boards
Flesh and fruit, leaf and root
All to feed the grateful
Multitudes trundle along the roads
To loving arms and spices in the air

#NolaShenanigans looked a little chilly this morning so I picked up her Stitch hoodie and she immediately walked over and stuck out her little head so I could slip it on. She’s just perfect. 😍🥰

Charlie is at bird boarding so I can skeet without being punished!

Time to update you on my BIG THING that I have been working on.

I work in an old junior high school. We have a lot of green space that doesn't get used much and a fenced in asphalt pad that was going to be a playground...

"Villainy wears many masks, none so dangerous as the mask of virtue." -Ichabod Crane, "Sleepy Hollow."

This was the cryptoquote, a couple days ago.

It's so, well, depressing, for lack of a better word, when old quotes are so pertinent to current events.

Kuskokwim Delta floods: A first-person article from a survivor of the Halong flood- it's really a great account of the emotions he experienced through the ordeal. This is the second article, where he arrives in 'Los Anchorage.' A culture shock.

Our visitor has his leash attached, ready to head to his home. As a Shetland Sheepdog, he's sometimes called a miniature collie, but this guy is not nearly miniature, so he is shown here next to an elephant for scale.
