Whatever changed with YouTube back between August 10 to August 17 has resulted in every video I've released since to get the same message and a massive drop in views .... * SIGH *

When YouTube decides your subscribers aren't interested, it buries the video and stops recommend it.

Demoralizing....
YouTube and their assessment of why a video is doing badly (or doing well)

all the best windows software in history is called something like "joe's thing doer". it does the thing and nothing else and is available on a html website in plain text and takes up under a megabyte of space and uses default windows ui elements and will work until the heat death of the universe

I try to add alt to all my posts and it usually goes well here and on Mastodon, but for some reason I always forget to add them on Twitter. 😪

It's sysadmin day - go and tell your sysadmin you appreciate their work, I'm sure they'll be happy to hear it 😊

while I (unfortunately) didn't get the job, I got to visit the TDK facilities at Gravatai and it was pretty cool.
the interview and staff were super nice, and their campus is beautiful
a selfie of myself standing in fronto of the TDK reception buiding, with an old TDK cassette in hand the parking directions before the gate at TDK Gravatai the TDK reception/security building (no pictures allowed inside, but there's a nice display of TDK/EPCOS built components in the lobby) the TDK visitors parking lot, with lots of trees and the reception building in the distance

Maybe a hot take, but I feel like the 1980s (and some of the 90s for sure) really was the last time cars were designed for the consumer to be in maximum comfort with everything you need and nothing you don't. 80s cars have always appealed to me, ever since I was a kid. Peak car design for me.

Fairmont Ghias were recognisable by 'snowflake' alloy wheels and bumper-mounted driving lamps, whilst inside the seats featured 'lavish velor trim'. Reflecting the fashion of the era, there was a comprehensive digital instrument panel and pod-mounted switches on either side of the steering wheel.
