Women & girls are disproportionately impacted by conflict.

But we also know that women are at the center of protection, healing & rebuilding. Again and again, women hold families & communities together amid profound uncertainty.

Reflections from HIAS’ CEO on our work to protect women & girls:
When Women Are Safe, Communities Thrive
16 Days of Activism invites us to look at how women are disproportionately impacted by conflict, displacement, and crisis.

Millions of Americans are struggling to put food on the table — a crisis due to the Trump admin's decision to not fully fund SNAP during the shutdown.

But before that, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (H.R.1) had already excluded refugees, asylees & other humanitarian entrants from SNAP.

We are devastated to see the long-reported priorities of the Trump admin for refugee resettlement in writing.

Refugee admissions have been slashed to a historic low of 7,500 — a fraction of the 125,000 authorized in the prior year — and by far the lowest in the history of the program.
