Victoria Derbyshire rinsed Baldwin - a washed-up Shadow Business hack from the 14-years-of-chaos Tory circus - after she moaned about Labour’s Budget. Derbyshire hit back: everything they whine about now is what they did while trashing the country. Fourteen years of ruin and they act brand new.

Net migration to the UK has fallen by more than two-thirds to 204,000 in a single year, the lowest annual figure since 2021

official figures show there was a 69% drop from 649,000 in the number of people immigrating minus the number of people emigrating, in the year to June 2025.

Most of the public think net migration increased last year, when in fact numbers halved.

The war will end when Russia stops fighting. Therefore, pressure has to be put on Russia, so that they stop believing that they will win. Why is that so hard to understand?

The opinion of the markets is much more significant than the algorithm chasing opinion of modern media .

Reeves budget is a huge success.

Much better with Labour. 👍

Peston tonight. Stride -Tory, McDonald - Labour, Tice - Reform.
Two right wingers and a Corbynite, left winger. Why is Tice there and not a Lib Dem spokesperson?. Why isn't the Labour representative from the Government?. Utterly pointless show, with no balance. I switched off.

Reeves or Truss ?

Investors piled into long-dated UK bonds on Wednesday, pushing yields down by the most since April, and boosted the pound after UK finance minister Rachel Reeves' budget helped alleviate concern about Britain's long-term finances.

Much better with Labour. 👍👍👍

Classless Kemi with her spite and abuse reminding us all about why the tories will never be in power again.

Couldn’t possibly have given a better boost to Labour.

Shot herself in her foot thinking she was aiming at Rachel’s head 🤣🤣🤣

Kemi Badenoch has shown how much of a childish, nasty, spoiled little bitch she really is.

Snarky, mimicking voices and just scoring points on jibes at personality and appearance.

Thank fuck she’ll never get even close to No.10

So Rachel Reeves raised taxes. Didn't help make anyone particularly happy. Could have been a real problem for her and #Labour. Then comical Kemi Badenoch stood up, and reminded everyone in Britain just how bad the Tories really were 😄 #Conservatives #Budget

Utterly classless from Kemi.

Desperate, personal, gutter attacks - not economics.

The few remaining sensible tories behind her, look mortified.

What an embarrassment to parliament she is.

Sorry Badenoch, we all know that Kwarteng was the worst Chancellor we ever had.

It's going to take a lot to beat the damage he & Truss did to us all.

Although I'm sure a Reform Chancellor could have a good stab at it given how well their local council spending is going

Seems to me that Badenoch is possibly the thickest senior MP I have ever heard. Possibly even pushing Truss for the title. Where do they find these people?

Kemi Badenoch crying for multi-millionaires, calling them: "family homes."
Absolute clown.

What a vile and spiteful speech from Badenoch .

Insult and abuse in place of any genuine comment

A cartoon caricature of ugly spite. What a turnoff.

Perfect example of pundit blunder 🤣🤣

Leaked by OBR not Rachel Reeves.

Egg on face time ?
On the one hand, this is the perfect end to an amazingly chaotic Budget process. On the other, it makes it much easier to cover than having to actually listen to the speech.
BREAKING The entire Budget has leaked early

- £22BN of headroom
- £26bn tax rises
- Freeze on tax thresholds
- Pay per mileage confirmed
- Changes to capital gains

Rachel Reeves is brimming with confidence and spark . Tory benches are flat .

Very good speech so far.
